Beth Watson, President
Beth has worked in community theater for 50 years. She is the founding member of the Thurmont Thespians, which is a dream that she has had for many years. She believes that every child should have the opportunity to learn how to participate in good theater. Beth's specialty is teaching all aspects of theater and getting the children fully involved.

Becky Carpenter, Vice President
Becky grew up in theater at her mother's side, Beth Watson, and was happy to help her Mom found the Thurmont Thespians. Becky has a special way with children and teaches them valuable ensemble skills. Becky directed one of the casts for the 2001 show and she directed one of the casts for the 2003 production of Charlotte's Web.

MaryBeth Johnson, Secretary
MaryBeth joined our production staff in 2003 to be the musical director of Charlotte's Web.

Spence Watson, Treasurer
Another founding member of the Thurmont Thespians, Spence joins his wife, Beth, in the belief that teaching theater to children is very important. Spence designs the lighting for each show and designs and constructs each set. He directed the world premiere of Andrew Michael. He recently received an outstanding peformance in acting award for his portrayal of Hanrahan in Below the Belt by Adjudicators Marian Myles of North Carolina, and Charla Rowe of the Tantallon Community Players in Fort Washington, MD.

Bonnie Weaver
Bonnie is one of the founding members of the Thurmont Thespians. Bonnie's specialty is costume design,set decoration, and she meets all of the Thespians publishing needs. Bonnie has directed or assisted in directing the 2000, 2001, and 2002 shows, and she directed one of the casts of the 2003 production of Charlotte's Web.

Kurt Johnson
Kurt has avidly supported the musical needs of each of the Thurmont Thespians productions. He put the poetry of A.A. Milne to music for the 2001 production of Winnie-The-Pooh, and wrote the music and lyrics for the 2003 production of Charlotte's Web.

Becky Urian
Becky joined the production staff as the House Manager for the 2003 production of Charlotte's Web. She currently manages reservations for Thurmont Thespians productions.
