Street in Frederick, MD.
The Maryland State Arts Council’s “Arts In Communities” Program has awarded the Thurmont Thespians a $750 grant to support their area premiere of “Talking With…” at the Frederick Cultural Arts Center Black Box Theatre January 16-25. “Talking With…”, a new play by Jane Martin which originally premiered at the Humana Festival in Louisville, KY in 1982 and went on to a New York production the same year. It was the first of a new genre of plays featuring collections of women’s 10 minute monologues directly addressed to the audience.
